Depresion vs. Joy and Happy vs. Sad

When I was thinking this up a couple years ago, I coulnd’t think of a word that was the opposite of depressed.  So I decided the best I could come up with was the word joy.  Happy is obviously the opposite of sad.

I was thinking about it and decided that people can be depressed but in the moment be happy or sad.  On the same token, a person can be joyful but happy or sad in the moment.

I don’t know if you thought about that before or if it seems obvious or not but I figured it was worth it’s own post.

I like this philosophical musings post. Definitely worth its own post. I miss long conversations about stuff like this with you 🙂

I think you’re right on here man. I think finding joy in life is one of the most sought after things in life that people have, though they don’t know it.

I’m glad your doc feels you are making good progress, I feel for you for how difficult this must be. I can’t even imagine.

For the first time in a long time, I’ll be in Libertyville in August, it’d be great to see you.
